Weekly Photo Challenge: Unexpected

I may be too busy to write a full post at the moment…

But I’ll always make time to squeeze in a photography one!

I knew straight where I was headed to for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge too. It had to be the destination that was the most unexpected surprise during my Asian travels last year – beautiful Penang in Malaysia.

As I’ve mentioned before too, the streets are full of unexpected surprises of the artistic variety. None more surprising than this cute portrait of two children having fun cycling around. But the bike is no oil painting – it’s a real cycle built into the concrete wall.

Definitely not what I expected to see wandering down this scenic Georgetown street, so perfect for this week’s photo challenge.

I won’t be able to do next week’s one as I’ll be up in the air headed east, so take it easy guys!

  4. This was done by a Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic, when he was visiting Malaysia. Still haven’t had the chance to see it! (Penang is about five hours from KL. Sigh.)

    • Ah awesome thanks for sharing that info, I hadn’t even thought about it looking it up haha! Yeah I did the journey from Penang to KL by bus myself. Hope you do make it up there though :)
